RIVA DEL GARDA AFTER-WEDDING | LAKE GARDA ITALY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Being a Lake Garda Italy Wedding Photographer, I would highly recommend you to consider, amongst the most picturesque locations for your destination wedding in Italy, the area of Lake Garda. Maybe because I’m based out of this wonderful area, or maybe because I still look at it with the eyes of a tourist (I’ve recently moved here), let me tell you its landscapes and villages are worthy of their fame. Lake Garda is the largest Lake in Italy, and can easily be reached from the cities of Brescia and Verona both by car and train. Crossed by three different regions (Lombardia, Veneto and Trentino Alto Adige), it offers the most various and mesmerizing landscapes. Variety is definitely the keyword here, since Lake Garda offers both calm and sunny Southern shores (Sirmione), and epic Northern mountain peaks with colorful perched villages all over (Riva del Garda). But almost every town around the Lake has its own medieval castle and tower, overlooking on the harbor and the blue waters. To make it short, whatever location you’ll choose for your wedding on Lake Garda, you’ll make your Italian Wedding Photographer happy!

WEDDING PHOTOSHOOT AT RIVA DEL GARDA

Martina and Carlo are a unique and unconventional couple from Milan. After spending months home during Covid-19, they decided to run away from the city to celebrate their love. So, as the sunny season came and the lockdown ended, they packed two little bags and drove all the way to the northern edge of Lake Garda. We met at sunrise, when the air was chilly and the light was golden. The little village of Riva del Garda was still asleep, and we could enjoy the magic of walking on the shores all alone. The intimacy and emotion of this young couple was just perfect in front of my lens, and I couldn’t help but smiling the whole time. We had a fun champaign-pop and some romantic snuggles here and there, making the most out of the beauty around us. In this colorful town time flows slowly, between the sound of gentle waves on the dock and the seagulls in distance. As we walked in the narrow cobblestone alleys, I felt like immersed in one of Thomas Mann’s novels. To end our photographic morning we had the most perfect Italian breakfast in the central Cafè, with tons of gelato. The sun, the breeze, the high clock tower and the “portici” behind… everything was just a perfect frame for Martina and Carlo’s love, and I was so lucky to be by their side as their Lake Garda Italy Wedding Photographer!

LAKE GARDA ITALY WEDDING VENUES

If you’re wondering how to get married in this area, here’s some of my favorite Wedding Venues on Lake Garda Italy: Isola del Garda, Castello di Malcesine, Torre San Marco at Gardone Riviera. They all feature luxurious buildings with green gardens, stunning views on the lake and the finest atmosphere. Whether or not your plans include to get married in one of these wonderful villas, I’d highly recommend a little walk in the surroundings for some couple portraits after the ceremony. Exploring around with you Italian Wedding Photographer is a great way to have some incredible pictures, and also a perfect getaway to spend some time alone as husband and wife. There are no rules when it comes to after-wedding portraits, but to get lost and fall in love with the “dolce vita” lifestyle! You can experience it while walking in the narrow alleys, between colorful shops and silent little squares, or in the smell of fresh bread coming from the window. I promise you’ll fall in love with the incredible Lake Garda, a great place to enjoy the Italian summer!
