GEMMA + RAYMARK
SCOTLAND ELOPEMENT | WINTER WEDDING IN GLENCOE HIGHLANDS
2020 was the hardest year, but still full of happy moments like Gemma and Raymark’s destination Scotland elopement in Glencoe. I wanted to publish one last blogpost before this year comes to an end, celebrating the amazing couples I was able to meet despite the pandemic. This year taught us more than ever that love always wins… and it’s exactly in moments like these that I’m so proud to be a destination elopement photographer, working all over Europe and beyond to capture amazing memories for wild and authentic lovers!
ADVENTURE DESTINATION ELOPEMENT IN THE SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS
Back in February, I had the pleasure to fly all the way to Scotland for capturing some unconventional and very intimate elopement portraits. This elopement in the heart of the Scottish Highlands was a real adventure, and gifted us with the most amazing views and epic sceneries all the way. I fell in love with every single waterfall, high peak, alpine lake and wild upland there. As a photographer in love with nature and moodiness, I couldn’t have asked for a better background for Gemma and Raymark’s love portraits. For their Scotland elopement we enjoyed a long walk in the Highlands, exploring the hills, wooden bridges and cold rivers. We also spot several herds of stags along the way, being able to observe such magnificent creatures at short distance!
EMOTIONAL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY | SCOTLAND ELOPEMENT
Gemma and Raymark are the most passionate and devoted couple. According to their unconventional style, they chose a non-traditional way to get married too! They couldn’t imagine themselves having a huge wedding with hundreds of guests, so they arranged their own perfect day focusing on themselves. Being huge nature and outdoor lovers, they wanted to have an unforgettable experience in the wild Scottish lands, and eloping sounded like the perfect choice. This way, Gemma and Raymark exchanged their vows in the middle of the wildest nature. Their love was pure and untamed, just as the wind blowing around them. I hope you can feel the same emotion I saw in their heart warming hugs and tender gestures, when looking at these pictures. Our day ended at the Kingshouse Hotel, where we warmed up in front of the fire and restored after this amazing Scotland elopement adventure.
ELOPING IN SCOTLAND | THREE SISTERS OF GLENCOE
The Scottish Highlands are known for being one of the most beautiful and scenic areas of all Europe. The variety of landscapes and raw nature in these northern territories mesmerizes thousands of tourists (and Scottish inhabitants, too) every year. I travelled by car all the way from Edinburgh, to reach the Three Sisters of Glencoe. These mountains are composed of trio of volcanic peaks, each rising more than 10,000 feet. The area all around is incredibly beautiful and quite easy to explore by feet, which makes it a great location for Scotland elopements and photoshoots all year long. In facts, these lands showcase different colors and moods according to the season: the flora changes from warm and moody orange tones during fall, to white and candid whites in winter, to flourishing greens in spring and summer. During our photoshoot, we were able to personally experience the Scottish say ‘four seasons in one day’. In facts we had both sun, rain, a hailstorm and snow during a couple hours!
