Tuscany wedding portraits | Accona Desert and Crete Senesi honeymoon
A Tuscany wedding is almost everybody’s dream, but what about an after-wedding couple session there? When Anton and Natalie reached out to me for their honeymoon shoot in Italy, I was so excited! They had booked a photoshoot session in Cinque Terre, but their photographer canceled it a couple days before with no reason (and that’s why you should only hire professionals, with a valid VAT number and providing contracts or agreements, which are meant to protect both you and the photographer!). Known the sad circumstances, I was determined to give them the best honeymoon shoot ever, and show them an hidden gem in the Tuscan countryside.
Accona Desert and Crete Senesi near Siena
Half of my family is from Tuscany, so I’ve explored almost every corner of this incredible land. You can basically call me a Tuscany wedding photographer, considering the number of weddings I’ve shot there! The Accona Desert and Crete Senesi area, between the villages of Asciano and Montalcino, is one of the most special and breathtaking places in the whole region: with its red clay and golden hills, olive trees and brown fields, it will for sure steal your heart. The whole area is also full with the characteristic “Biancane”, some kind of white stone pyramids that emerge from the soil.
Sunrise honeymoon shooting in Tuscany
Since Anton and Natalie didn’t have any plan for their shoot, I proposed them to meet at sunrise and drive through the Tuscan countryside by car, stopping by every time we found an interesting spot. As an Italy engagement photographer, this is my absolute favorite way to explore new places, being free to show my couples the off-trail paths (that usually are the most magical ones!) and living an adventure together. The warm rays of sun and the golden tones of the countryside created an intimate and emotional atmosphere, in which Anton and Natalie kissed and hugged and laughed and run in complete happiness. How cool is it, when a shooting becomes a romantic experience for the couple itself? A quite moment of cuddles and sweet words, to enjoy and celebrate love.
