Anna and Damien have a special place in my heart, not only for their amazing vibes and tenderness, but also because they gave me the opportunity to visit Sicily for the first time ever! And I can tell you this will definitely be the last, since I suddenly fell in love with the wildest Italian island, even if I spent only a few days there. Another good reason to come back, hopefully as an Italy engagement photographer! Together with their amazing wedding planner Amandine, we chose the breathtaking Marsala Salt Flats for the most intimate and romantic Sicily engagement session, on the day before their wedding. I can’t wait to blog their stunning destination Sicily wedding soon!
ITALY DESTINATION COUPLE PHOTOGRAPHER
Anna and Damien flew all the way from France to exchange their vows and celebrate with their families in Sicily, back in August. A destination wedding is for the braves at heart, and these two are definitely one of a kind! Once I got to Sicily, I couldn’t miss the chance to get to know them a little bit better + having some amazing portrait taken before their wedding day. This is a very important moment to me as an italian destination wedding photographer, since I usually can’t meet my couples before (and that’s why I am such a huge Skype person!). I loved meeting them and spending a relaxed late afternoon walking on the beaches of Marsala, dancing and joking and enjoying such a great sunset.
EMOTIONAL PRE-WEDDING SHOOT IN MARSALA
Anna and Damien were the most perfect couple: fun, easygoing and laid back. The Saline of Marsala were the most perfect background for their love story: surrounded by succulents and windmills, they forgot for a couple hours all the stress and anxiety of the wedding, and enjoyed their last moments as an engaged couple. Their sweet kisses and whispers allowed me to perfectly tell their story, made of smiles, gentle touches and intimate hugs. This pre-wedding session in Sicily ended up to be one of my favorites ever, full of emotions and with a boho wild touch that fits in such a great way this amazing couple. Who doesn’t love a good backlight sunset and a cool couple dancing in front of it?
SICILY SUNSET ENGAGEMENT SESSION
After some cute snuggles between succulents on the beach, Anna and Damien walked hand in hand along the scenic Salt Flats, dancing and spinning around in the summer breeze. We then reached a close ancient windmill, to enjoy the last moments of light. I just loved to capture this typical Sicily italian sunset, creating memories of Anna and Damien in such an incredible landscape. They perfectly embraced the moment, and we ended up such a relaxing day enjoying the greatest italian dinner: pizza!
