Sorrento engagement photoshoot | Summer on the Amalfi Coast

What’s better than a Sorrento engagement photoshoot during the sunny Italian summer? I was excited myself when Madison and Jordan reached out, and gave me the opportunity of visiting again one of the most picturesque and romantic corners in Italy: the Amalfi Coast. Did you know it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997? Well, if you’ve ever been there you surely know why. And if you still haven’t visited it yet please go on looking at this gallery, and you’ll probably be booking the next flight to Italy to enjoy some homemade limoncello before even finishing it! Even if this photoshoot took place three years ago (Madison and Jordan are happily married, and parents to a wonderful baby girl now!), I can still feel the warm sun on my skin and the salty afternoon breeze. It’s incredible how pictures can bring back far memories and sensations, and make us feel as happy as we were on that very moment, isn’t it? An engagement photoshoot is always such a good way to keep track of time, and create vivid memories of a wonderful day in Sorrento, Italy.

Intimate engagement portraits at hotel crawford sorrento

While on my way to Madison and Jordan’s hotel for the photoshoot, I passed by one of the hidden gems of Sorrento’s old town. In facts, the centre of the town is home to an ancient (and very deep) windmill valley called Vallone dei Mulini, that you can now admire from above while walking on the street. I was so excited to finally meet my super stylish couple from the States! When I reached Hotel Crawford, the bright and intimate Hotel on the coast they were staying at, I immediately fell in love with its greenhouse-style hall. In facts, we started our photoshoot there, and then moved to the cozy room filled with warm sun rays all over. After breaking the ice with some intimate portraits on the bed, we moved outside to enjoy the wonderful weather. Hotel Crawford also offers a cute terrace for sunbathing and relaxing, and we couldn’t miss the chance to take some windy portraits there, too! The Amalfi Coast is one of the most popular locations in Italy for wedding proposals and engagement photoshoots, and every time I go there I can’t help but being mesmerized by its beauty and charme. I would definitely recommend anyone to have a Sorrento engagement photoshoot during summer!

Sunset at the piano di sorrento caves

When the sun started going down, we went for a quiet walk in the area of the Piano di Sorrento. This ancient maze is made of many tunnels and caves overlooking the sea. The view from there is insane, you can admire the whole coast and the blue sea, spotting seagulls (and so many yachts!) here and there. There’s nothing more romantic than a sunset by the sea, to make the whole atmosphere even more magical. I loved that golden light so much, it fell so gently on Madison and Jordan’s tanned skin. The owners at Bagni Tina were so kind, they allowed us to have a short walk on their dock and take some more portraits before blu hour arrived. Madison and Jordan’s passionate love made the whole photoshoot so easy and enjoyable, we ended up chatting about life and future programs in front of an iced lemon tea like old friends, to end the day. This was such a dreamy engagement session on the Amalfi Coast, I hope you’ll enjoy the gallery and feel the beauty from behind the screen!
